SUPERVISION FOR SPIRITUAL DIRECTORS

Anyone who is exercising the ministry of Spiritual Direction should consider the support afforded by supervision.   This is a valuable resource for people who regularly engage with another person in a professional one to one relationship.

The scope of supervision is wide.    It covers awareness of God in one's ministry, growth in insight and professionalism (good practice) and offers a `safe space' to explore feelings while receiving encouragement and support.

Supervision offers the opportunity for the director to step back and reflect with another professionally trained and trusted person in an environment of complete anonymity in an attentive and supportive climate.

Supervision is offered on a facilitated-group basis, and one-to-one.   There are also Supervision Groups operating at the London Centre for Spirituality in the City.
